Fager Nova is suitable for horses that you would describe as some of the following:

• Sensitive tongue, pulls the reins and opens the mouth.
• Unsteady in the connection, needs a more stable contact.
• Feels stiff in a straight bit but unstable in a jointed bit.
• Doesn't instinctively seek out the contact.

Fager Nova is a stable barrelled bit with a tongue relief. The barrelled tube mouthpiece creates a fast, natural lock in all directions like a straight bit, but can still rotate. This makes the bit a good choice for horses who can get worried in the mouth and unstable in the contact on a jointed bit, but still too stiff on a straight bit.

The small tongue relief, in combination with the barrel effect, makes this bit a good option for horses with a sensitive tongue who can open their mouth, pull the reins, and move the tongue around.

Fixed rings are attached to the mouthpiece, and the reins’ contact will be more still towards the mouth.

Fixed rings will encourage a horse to keep the contact towards the bit and create a stable feeling for both the horse and rider.
